The bathing area is fully covered.

Cave Therapy
The healing effects of the cave’s unique climate have been known for a long time. The relatively stable temperature of 14–16°C, the near 100% relative humidity, and the exceptionally pure air have been proven effective in treating allergic, asthmatic, and other respiratory diseases. Due to the high humidity, the air is virtually free of dust and pollen. The cave's microclimatic parameters (bacterial and viral sterility) remain constant and do not contain any external aggressive agents.

Spending time in the cave has a healing and calming effect. The dim lighting, silence, and tranquility alone contribute to stress relief.

Recommended for:

  • Asthmatic diseases
  • Bronchitis complaints
  • Respiratory allergies

No Known Contraindications – There are no health conditions that restrict cave therapy.

The Hotel Pelion is built directly above the cave, allowing guests to access it through a covered corridor.
The treatment begins with a pulmonary examination, followed by regular cave stays.
Our package includes refreshing massages and inhalation therapy to enhance the experience.
Ideal treatment duration is 2–3 weeks.

Pulmonary Function Test
A computerized spirometer is used to assess lung function.

Testing Procedure: The patient's name, birth date, weight, and height are entered. A sterile mouthpiece is placed in the patient’s mouth, ensuring a firm seal with the lips. The nose is clipped shut to prevent air escape.

Phase 1 – Inspiratory Vital Capacity Measurement:
The patient breathes in and out normally 3–4 times. Then, they exhale fully and inhale as deeply as possible. The emphasis is on depth, not speed.

Phase 2 – Forced Vital Capacity Measurement:
The nose is clipped again. The patient inhales as deeply as possible, then places the mouthpiece in their mouth and seals their lips around it. They then exhale forcefully and as quickly as possible, followed by a deep inhalation. Finally, they remove the mouthpiece and nose clip. The test results are analyzed and evaluated by a doctor.

Inhalation Therapy
Primarily used for the treatment of chronic respiratory diseases, inhalation therapy involves delivering atomized medicinal water or medical solutions directly into the respiratory tract through a special device.
Saline and iodine-rich water help clear mucus and improve secretion drainage.
Calcium-rich water has anti-inflammatory effects.
